Deriheru (Delivery Health)(でりへる): Dispatch-style adult service. No physical venue — cast is dispatched to the customer's hotel or residence after booking via call center. Classified under Fueiho 'Non-Store Sex-Related Entertainment Business (Type 2).'
Soapland(そーぷらんど): Venue-based bathing service. Mat and foam-based relaxation in private bathrooms. Concentrated in Yoshiwara (Tokyo), Susukino (Sapporo), Nakasu (Fukuoka), Ogoto (Shiga).
Mens Esthe(めんずえすて): Venue-based massage and relaxation service. Oil treatments, lymphatic massage, and aromatherapy performed by therapists.
Shimei (Nomination)(しめい): Fee to request a specific cast or therapist. Typically ¥2,000–¥3,000. Industry-standard term across all service types.
Hon-shimei (Repeat Nomination)(ほんしめい): Repeat-customer nomination of the same cast or therapist. Typically ¥3,000–¥5,000.
Course(こーす): Base pricing unit by service time. Deriheru 60/90/120 min; soapland S/L courses (80/120 min); mens esthe 60/90/120 min.
Encho (Extension)(えんちょう): Extending the course time. Extension fees typically charged in 30-min increments (¥5,000–¥8,000).
Option(おぷしょん): Additional service not included in the course rate. Contents vary by service type; typically ¥2,000–¥5,000 each.
Kaikin (Admission)(かいきん): First-visit-only admission fee at some soapland and mens esthe venues. Typically ¥1,000–¥3,000.
Outcall(あうとこーる): English term for dispatch-style service (deriheru). The cast travels to the customer's location.
Hotel Delivery(ほてるはけん): Deriheru service style where cast is dispatched to your hotel. The most accessible option for foreign travelers.
Mat Play(まっとぷれい): Signature soapland service. Foam-based relaxation on an inflatable mat.
Nuru (Lotion Massage)(ぬる): Massage style using lotion or gel for a slippery, slick experience. Offered at some mens esthe venues.
GFE (Girlfriend Experience)(じーえふいー): Service concept offering a girlfriend-like intimate experience. Offered at deriheru and some mens esthe venues.
Free Option(ふりーおぷしょん): Options included at no extra cost in the course rate. Content varies by venue.
Cast(きゃすと): General term for female staff working in adult services. Commonly used in deriheru and soapland.
Therapist(せらぴすと): Female staff performing treatments at mens esthe. Typically trained in massage techniques.
Service Charge(さーびすりょう): Fee added to the course rate for venue operation costs. Often already included in the displayed price.
Fueiho (Amusement Business Act)(ふうえいほう): The 'Act on Control and Improvement of Amusement Business.' The fundamental law regulating Japan's adult entertainment industry. Licensing by the Public Safety Commission is required.
Omotenashi(おもてなし): Japan's unique spirit of heartfelt hospitality. A core concept across all service types.
